Section 1: General Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Elation MAGIC-260. The MAGIC -260 is a 264 channel, extremely user friendly, DMX lighting controller designed for DJ’s, night clubs and bars. Magic 260 includes an on board help button that offers step by step instructions on programming scenes and shows in both English and Spanish. Up to 24 fixtures, with a maximum of 16 DMX channels each can be controlled via Magic 260. A joystick and four data wheel are provided for easy manipulation of all fixture channels. A master fader allows for instant fade of all fixtures. 24 multi purpose function buttons are incorporated to store and playback scenes and shows as well as call up presets. 6 built in factory movements include circles, figure 8’s and pan & tilt movements. The built in movements are really convenient and allow for quick programming that should have you going in no time . Up to 1152 scenes and 288 shows can be stored to MAGIC -260’s memory. 4 auxiliary buttons are available for on/off control of non DMX fixtures via a standard DMX power pack. A USB input is supplied for our optional USB worklite, model USB LITE, and our proprietary USB memory devices, models USB MEM STICK and ULINK CABLE. The memory devices allow for the entire memory of Magic 260 to be stored for use later and also allows for new fixtures profiles to be uploaded into Magic 260’s fixture library. These memory devices incorporate a proprietary format & software that can only be used with our Magic 260 and DMX Operator- 192 consoles.

Every unit has been thoroughly tested and carefully packed before shipment. Unpack the shipping carton and inspect it thoroughly saving the carton and all packing materials for possible use later. Check carefully and make sure your product is not damaged and that nothing is missing. If your product appears to be damaged or missing something, please do not use it- contact our customer support staff at (800) 322.6337 ext-401 for instructions on what to do. Your carton should contain (1) MAGIC- 260 controller, (1) 9- 15VDC/600mA minimum power supply and (1) user manual. Available accessories not included are: USB LITE, USB MEM STICK and ULINK CABLE- all which are available through your authorized Elation
