Lubricate the unit at the locations shown in Figures 31-

 

37 as well as the lubrication points listed. Generally, all

 

moving metal parts should be oiled where contact is

 

made with other parts. Keep oil and grease off belts and

 

pulleys. Wipe surfaces clean before and after lubrica-

 

tion.

 

 

Grease:

 

 

* foot pedal

 

* mower

linkage

 

* steering

linkage

 

* transmission idler assembly pivot

 

* rear axle shafts (remove wheel hubs) * front axle where it contacts the frame

* all drive shaft universal joints

* mower belt tension bracket pivots

Use grease fittings when present. Automotive lithium grease is recommended.
