motor. Las garantias del motor ata_en exclusivamente a! producto y alas emisiones que se declaran en este manual.

Potencia Nominal

Los valores de potencia nominal de un modelo de motor se establecen en primer lugar con el codigo J1940

(Procedimiento de valoraci6n de potencia y par de

pequet'ios motores, Revision 2002-05) de la SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers, Sociedad de ingenieros de

automoci6n). Dada la amplia variedad de productos que utilizan nuestros motores y la multitud de factores

ambientales que pueden afectar a su funcionamiento, el motor que ha adquiddo puede no Ilegar a desarro!lar su potencia nominal cuando se utilice con un aparato mecanico (potencia real "in situ"). Esta diferencia se debe, entre otros,

a los siguientes factores: diferencias de altitud, temperatura,

presi6n barometrica, humedad, combustible, lubricaci6n del motor, ve!ocidad maxima controlada del motor, variaciones entre distintos motores del mismo modelo, disefio del equipo mecanico utilizado, manera de hacer funcionar el motor, rodaje de! motor para reducir la fricci6n y limpiar las

camaras de combusti6n, ajustes de las valvulas y el

carburador, etc. Los valores de potencia nominal tambien se

puede ajustar en funci6n de las comparaciones con otros

motores similares utilizados en aplicaciones similares, pot Io

que no coincidira necesariamente con los valores que se obtienen al aplicar los codigos mencionados.
