CONNECTED EQUIPMENT WARRANTY

If any equipment is damaged by impulses from lightning or other power transients, or by momentary (less than 1 ms) voltage surges or spikes (an “Occurrence”) while properly connected through this Philips surge protector to a properly wired AC power line with protective ground (and if applicable, properly wired telephone, data or coaxial cable line), subject to the conditions and limitations of this warranty, Philips will, at its option, either (a) pay for the repair the equipment, or (b) pay an amount equal to the current fair market value of damaged equipment or the original purchase price of the equipment, whichever is less, up to the maximum amount stated on the product package. The fair market value of the equipment shall be the current value of the equip- ment specified in the most recent edition of Orion Blue Book (by Orion Research Corporation, Roger Rohrs Publisher) or a valuation as determined by Philips in its reasonable discretion.

The period covered by this warranty is the lifetime of the surge protector, which means until the surge protector has exceeded its capacity to protect against surges and spikes. The “Protection Work- ing” indicator will no longer be lit when this capacity is exceeded. Additionally, the capacity of the surge protector will be exceeded after an Occurrence.
