Q:What operating systems does the PRO3 KVM Switch support?

A:The PRO3 KVM Switch will support any operating system that runs on a PS/2 and USB platform. Operating systems include, but are not limited to, DOS; Windows 2000, NT, XP, 2003 Server, Vista; Sun; Linux; and Mac OS.

Q:Can I mix PS/2 and USB devices on the KVM console?

A:The PRO3 KVM Switch will support either all PS/2 or all USB devices on the console side at a time. It is recommended that you use a keyboard and mouse of the same platform.

Q:Can I mix PS/2 and USB servers on the host side?

A:Yes, the PRO3 KVM Switch will support any mix of PS/2 and USB host servers at a time.

Q:What does flash-upgradeable mean?

A:With flash-upgrade capability, you can update your PRO3 KVM Switch firmware at any time through a simple serial connection. Upgrade capability ensures that your PRO3 KVM Switch is always the most current version on the market with the latest features and enhancements. See the “Updating Firmware” section in this User Manual.

Q:Does the PRO3 KVM Switch support Microsoft IntelliMouse®?

A:The PRO3 KVM Switch supports USB and PS/2 mice from Microsoft, Logitech®, Kensington®, etc., and Belkin. Please contact Belkin Technical Support for compatibility issues you may experience.

Q:How does the PRO3 KVM Switch allow the user to switch between ports?

A:The PRO3 KVM Switch supports two methods of port selection. The user can select servers using specially designated keyboard hot keys, or through the On-Screen Display.
