Chapter 4: Control Panel Operations

The control panel gives you push-button control over the printer’s power and paper feed operations. It also includes an indicator light that tells you the current status of the printer at a glance.

To enter the Sleep Mode

Hold down Power for a few seconds. The printer beeps when it enters the Sleep Mode.

Important!

We recommend that you unplug the printer from the power outlet whenever you do not plan to use it for long periods. Because of the this, you should locate the printer so that the power outlet it is plugged into is nearby and easy to access

To restore full power from the Sleep Mode

Press Power.

Important!

The printer automatically enters the Sleep Mode when you plug it in to an AC outlet. Be sure to press Power to power up the printer after plugging it in.
