3.0 OPERATION

The SWCA Programming Menu Function Keys

Programming features are accessed by pressing ￿￿￿￿￿￿and by using the function keys as described in Table 3-1.

Key

Purpose

 

 

 

Changes SWCA ID number from the default of 1

 

to any number up to 8.

F1

After changing the ID number, write the adapters

 

new ID number on the outside of the adapter's

 

gray housing to make later identification of the

 

adapter easier.

 

 

 

Changes the adapter's configuration code. This

 

alters the operation of the adapter.

F2

 

 

Do not change this code from the default

 

value of "06" .

 

 

 

For typing in any text string to allow later

F3

identification of the adapter.

 

 

Type in desired information and press <Enter>.

 

 

ECS

Leaves the programming menu.

NOTE: If the program does not find an adapter it indicates a TIMEOUT ERROR. Check the adapter and cable for proper connection and retry the program.
