The mainboard has an optional Intel 82562EZ/82547EI LAN controller. This LAN controller supports the transfer rates of 10 Mbit/s, 100 Mbit/s and the LAN controller 82547EI additionally supports 1000 Mbit/s. The LAN controller is equipped with a 2 KB transmission and receiving buffer (FIFO) and supports WOL function through Magic Packet￿. The LAN controller 82547EI supports also Basic Alert-on-LAN II and Alert Standard Format (ASF). The LAN RJ45 connector has two LEDs (light emitting diodes).
