CAUTION: Because you need the password to decrypt a locked volume, keep a secure backup of the password to ensure that it is accessible when required. There is no way to unlock the volume without the password. (If the password is forgotten, the only way to retrieve the password is if the password was saved in a configuration file. See Chapter 7, “Working With the Administrator Options,” in the Linksys Business Series Network Storage System Administrator Guide for help on this.)
