Advanced Configuration of the SCE Platform

After you have installed your SCE 1000 platform hardware, checked all external connections, turned on the system power, allowed the system to boot up, and performed the initial system configuration, you are ready to install the Service Control application. However, before you install the application, you might need to perform more complex configurations, which are beyond the scope of this publication.

Loading and Activating a Service Control Application

The SCE 1000 platform provides the basic functionalities of Service Control analysis and enforcement. A Service Control solution requires that a Service Control application be loaded into the platform, to take advantage of the unique SCE platform capabilities.

Loading and activating an application includes the following stages:

Downloading the application provided as an SLI file to the SCE 1000 disk.

Activating the application.

Configuring the application.
