INSTALLATION

NOTE: The SQE test function must be disabled if you are connecting the transceiver to Ethernet Version 1 equipment or to a repeater.

Set the SQE Switch as follows:

•To disable the SQE test function, set the switch (Fig. 3-1) towards the optical ports to the off (o) setting.

•To enable the SQE test function, set the switch (Fig. 3-1) away from the optical ports to the on (•) setting on the label.
