Appendix A: Troubleshooting
This appendix provides solutions to problems that may occur during the installation and operation of the Network Attached Storage. Read the description below to solve your problems. If you can't find an answer here, check the Linksys website at www.linksys.com.
1.The Network Attached Storage’s Utility cannot detect the Network Attached Storage. Go through this checklist until your problem is solved:
•Check that the Network Attached Storage is properly installed, the LAN connections are secure, and the Network Attached Storage is powered ON.
•If you are using a router, make sure that your PC and the Network Attached Storage are on the same network segment.
•Make sure that your PC has the TCP/IP network protocol installed. (See “Appendix D: Windows Help” for more information.)

•If you do have a router, check that your Gateway IP Address is set correctly. Ask your LAN administrator for the correct value.
•If you have changed the name of the Network Attached Storage, change the name back to the default name.
