User Interface
Overview
When you have connected a terminal to the console port, or used Telnet to access the switch over the network, you can gain access to the console menus. These menus allow you to reconfigure the switch from its factory default settings, as well as to monitor switch status and performance. The menus have a layout similar to the sample Main Menu shown in Figure
■Menu Identification (includes model number and software version level)
■Menu Name (includes access privileges)
■Selectable Items listed by letters
■Screen Prompt for menu selections and entry of field parameters, and Message Area for display of next entry option, parameters, or error messages.
