Basic Operation

Turning On the Projector

Complete peripheral connections (with Computer, VCR, etc.)

before turning on the projector. (Refer to pages 22~24 for

 

connection.)

Turn on the MAIN On/Off switch of the projector. The LAMP

 

indicator lights red, and the READY indicator lights green.

Press the POWER ON-OFF button on the top control or the

remote control. The LAMP indicator dims, and the cooling

fans start to operate. The preparation display appears on the screen and count-down starts. The input and source selected last appears after 20 seconds count-down.

If the projector is locked with a PJ PIN code, PJ PIN code Input Dialog Box will appear. Enter the PIN code as instructed below.

Enter a PJ PIN code

Select a number by using the Point buttons (e, d, 7, and 8) or Control pad and fix the number with the SELECT button. The number will change to “”. If you fixed a wrong number, move the yellow frame pointer to “C” or “Ent” once, then enter the correct number.

Repeat this step to complete entering a four-digit number.

When the four-digit number is fixed, move the yellow frame pointer to “Ent”. Press the SELECT button so that you can start to operate the projector.

If you entered a wrong PIN code, the entered number (✳✳✳✳) will turn red and disappear. Enter a correct PIN code all over again.

Basic Operation

What is PIN code?

PIN Personal Identification Number code is a security code that allows the person who knows it to operate the projector. Setting a PIN code prevents the projector from being operated by an unauthorized person.

A PIN code consists of a four-digit number. Refer to Security in Setting on page 55 for locking operation of the projector with your PIN code.

CAUTION ON HANDLING PIN CODE

If you forget your PIN code, the projector can no longer be started. Set a new PIN code with special care, write it down in column on page 79 of this manual, and keep it at hand. Should the PIN code be missing or forgotten, consult your sales dealer or the service station.

After the OK icon disappears, you can operate the projector.
