X7SBL-LN1/LN2 User's Manual

CHS Format

The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:

TYPE: This item displays the type of IDE or SATA Device.

Cylinders: This item indicates the status of Cylinders.

Headers: This item indicates the number of headers.

Sectors: This item displays the number of sectors.

Maximum Capacity: This item displays the maximum storage capacity of

the system.

LBA Format

The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:

Total Sectors: This item displays the number of total sectors available in the

LBA Format.

Maximum Capacity: This item displays the maximum capacity in the LBA

Format.

Multi-Sector Transfers

This item allows you to specify the number of sectors per block to be used in the multi-sector transfer. The options are Disabled, 4 Sectors, 8 Sectors, and 16 Sectors.

LBA Mode Control

This item allows you to use logical block addressing in place of cylinders, heads, and sectors. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
