Chapter 4: BIOS

υConsole Redirection

Access the submenu to make changes to the following settings:

COM Port Address

This setting will allow you to specify which COM port to direct the remote con- sole to: Onboard COM A or Onboard COM B. The options are Disabled, COM A and COM B.

Baud Rate

This setting will enable you to set the BAUD rate for the console redirection. The options are 300,1200, 2400, 9600, 19.2 K, 38.4K, 57.6K, and 115.2K.

Console Type

This setting will enable you to set the console redirection type. The options are VT100, VT100 (8bit), PC ANSI (7bit), PC ANSI, VT100+, VT-UTF8 and ASCII.

Flow Control

This setting enables you to select the fl ow control option for the console. The options are: None, XON/XOFF, and CTS/RTS.

Console Connection

This setting allows you to decide how the console redirection is to be connected. The options are Direct or Via Modem.

Continue CR after Post

This setting allows you to decide if you would like to continue with the console redirection after the POST routine. The options are On and Off.

υHardware Monitoring

This feature allows the BIOS to automatically monitor the following components and display the temperature of each component as detected. Highlight this and hit <Enter> to see monitor data for the following items:
