4.4Setting the Configuration For FreeBSD

Press the corresponding button according to the number of times specified on the following tables, and you will see the corresponding prompt.

NOTE: If you press the C (Cancel) button at any time to cancel the configuration, you must go through the entry process for a particular setting again.

Upon each succeeding press of the Right arrow, the

Using New Setting

 

 

Press S (Select) to accept.

 

 

 

 

Restart

Upon pressing the Right arrow, the following prompt

Down arrow

 

appears, allowing you to restart the system:

once (1)

 

Restart?

 

 

Press S (Select) to restart the system.

 

 

 

 

Shut Down

Upon pressing the Right arrow, the following prompt

Down arrow

 

appears, allowing you to shutdown the system:

twice (2)

 

Shutdown?

 

 

Press S (Select) to shutdown the system.

 

 

 

 

Reset Admin

Upon pressing the Right arrow, the following prompt

Down arrow

Password

appears, allowing you to reset the root password:

three (3) times

 

Reset Password?

 

 

Press S (Select) to reset the password.

 

 

NOTE: The default root password is password.

 

 

 

 

Enable SSH

Upon pressing the Right arrow, the following prompt

Down arrow

Access

appears, allowing you to enable SSH access:

four (4) times

 

SSH Access On?

 

 

Press S (Select) to enable SSH access.
