Pausing playback

1)Press Fast-forward and fast-backwardScan playRepeat play (center) of the ENT button 11 to pause playback.

*PAUSE” appears in the display.

2) Press

Fast-forward and fast-backward

1)Slide and hold the Up/Down button 11 to Random play

(right) and Manual background (left). The CD fast-forwards

or fast-backwards while the button is being held down.

Manual background : Moves forward 5 times faster than nor- mal play when you slide it for about 1 second and 30 times faster than normal play when you slide it for 5 seconds or longer.

2)Release the button when you reach the track you want to listen to. Playback resumes.

Scan play

1)Press the Scan button 16 . The first 10 sec- onds of all the tracks on the CD are played repeatedly.

*SCN becomes pink and T-SCNappears in the display.

*Scan play starts from the track after the cur- rent one.

*When the power is turned off, scan play is can- celed.

2)Press the Scan button 16 when you reach the track you want to listen to. Scan play is canceled and playback starts.

Repeat play

1)Press the Repeat button 17 to repeat play- back of the current track.

*RPT becomes pink and T-RPTappears in the display.

*To cancel repeat play, press the Repeat button 17 again. Playback resumes.

Random play

1)Press the Random button 18 to start random play.

*RDM becomes pink and T-RDMappears in the display.

*To cancel random play, press the Random but- ton 18 again. Playback resumes.
