Software Conventions

NetSight Element Manager’s device user interface contains a number of elements that are common to most windows and that operate the same regardless of which window they appear in. A brief description of some of the most common elements appears below; note that the information provided here is not repeated in the descriptions of specific windows and/or functions.

Using the Mouse

This document assumes you are using a Windows-compatible mouse with two buttons; if you are using a three button mouse, you should ignore the operation of the middle button when following procedures in this document. Procedures within the NetSight Element Manager document set refer to these buttons as follows:
