Enabling Authentication Traps

Enabling Authentication Traps

The Trap Authentication feature enables an AsantéHub 1016-IQ to gener- ate authentication traps. Authentication traps are generated when a net- work management station with an invalid community string attempts to access the AsantéHub 1016-IQ.

To enable Trap Authentication:

1 Click Agent.

The Agent Information Table appears, similar to Figure 4-12.

2 Open the Trap Authentication drop-down menu and select enabled.

3 Click Apply.

The AsantéHub 1016-IQ is configured to generate authentication traps.
