For each battery, you can check the remaining battery power from the battery itself.

To check the battery status using the gauge on the battery

Locate the battery gauge button and the battery power indicator lights and press the battery gauge button. The indicator lights show the remaining charge. Each light represents approximately 20% of the available charge.

A Battery fault code is indicated when you push the battery gauge button and the top, middle, and bottom lights on the battery illuminate simultaneously. If this occurs, the battery has failed and must be replaced.

Charging the battery

When the Tablet PC is connected to AC power, the battery automatically charges until it reaches full charge, even if the Tablet PC is being used The battery status light on the Tablet PC will blink amber when the battery is installed and AC power is applied to the tablet.

If two batteries are installed, the battery that the tablet is using charges first, then the second battery charges. The charging sequence is staggered to ensure that both batteries are being fully charged at nearly the same time. The first battery (with lowest remaining power) charges to the 90% level, followed by the second battery charging to the 100% level. Then, the tablet switches to the first running battery.
