Removing the Display Assembly

Prerequisites

1Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 10.

2Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 13.

3Remove the heat sink. See "Removing the Heat Sink" on page 29.

Procedure

1Disconnect the power-adapter port cable from the system board and remove the cable from the display hinge.

2Peel off the Mylar and conductive tape that cover the antenna cables and disconnect the antenna cables from the wireless card.

3Using the pull tabs, disconnect the display cables from the system board.

4 Note the routing of the display-cables and remove the cables from the routing guides.
