Introduction

Congratulations on choosing the Albatron Anniversary Special Edition PX845PEV-800mainboard! Albatron PX845PEV-800 is based on either the Intel® 82845PE Northbridge chipsets and 82801DB Southbridge chipset. It supports Intel® Pentium® 4 Socket 478 Processors with a FSB (Front Side Bus) frequency of 800/ 533/ 400MHz.

Albatron PX845PEV-800 provides 3 DIMM sockets using 184-pin DDR SDRAM with a total capacity of up to 2 GB. You can install DDR 400/ 333/ 266 (PC3200/ 2700/ 2100) SDRAM.

Albatron PX845PEV-800 provides one AGP Slot for 4X (1.5V only) AGP cards. Albatron PX845PEV-800 also comes with AGP protection which ensures that you only install 1.5V AGP cards. Five 32 bits PCI Slots stand for Peripheral Component Interconnect.

Albatron PX845PEV-800 includes two built in IDE facilities that support Ultra DMA 33/ 66/ 100 BMIDE and PIO Modes, one FDC facilities that support 360K, 720K, 1.2M, 1.44M and 2.88M.

Albatron PX845PEV-800 provides three FAN power headers; they are available for cooling fans. They are CPU FAN, Auxiliary FAN, and Chassis FAN, they are used for decrease the devices temperature of the system.

Albatron PX845PEV-800 provides one standard PS/2 mouse connector, one PS/2 Keyboard connector, two Serial ports (RS-232), and one Parallel port (DB-25).

Albatron PX845PEV-800 also comes with six USB 2.0 ports (two onboard, four by USB bracket) for USB devices, and a LAN Chip which supports a back panel LAN port (RJ-45).

Albatron PX845PEV-800 contains a “Watch Dog Timer” feature, it is used to detect when the system is unable to handle over-clocking configurations during POST stage.
