Appendix A Bus Hierarchy

BusHierarchy

The following figure is representative of the PCI Bus hierarchies for the Magma Expansion System. This figure pictorially conveys the overall PCI bus topology of the 13-Slot System. In this example, the Magma Host Card is the 1st PCI Bus. This PCI Bus is never visible to the Windows Device Manager or the Apple Profiler. The connecting cable to the Backplane is the 2nd PCI bus, and the PCI Slots represent the 3rd and 4th Buses on the 13-Slot Backplane. Any of the Magma Host Cards can be used interchangeably with this Magma Expansion System.
