Dial the number from the telephone set if you are using the acoustic cups, or from the keyboard if Direct Connect is used.
•The phone light will show you if the phone is ringing or busy.
•CARRIER is displayed when the call is complete and connection has been made.

After Your Conversation
1.Placing the telephone handset back on the phone, or press and hold [CTRL] and [9] if in Direct Connect in order to hang up.
2.Turn your Krown 200 OFF.
• The machine will be set to communicate in Baudot (TDD) when you turn it back ON.
TO RECEIVE AN ASCII CALL
Your Krown 200 with ASCII is set up to automatically receive calls in ASCII with 300 Baud, Half Duplex and Answer modes. If you have problems receiving an ASCII call, you may have to change modes. This may be done while receiving a call. See “To Change Mode Settings” on the previous page. It may be preferable to discuss the modes directly with the caller before making your call in
ASCII.
