Users of TDDs often abbreviate commonly used words or expressions to save time. The following abbreviations are a sampling of those most frequently used. It is common to omit punctuation.

•Reach a number you have a problem getting
•Arrange credit on any misdialed numbers
•Report any problem with your telephone
•Check to see if a TDD is available at the number being dialed
•Tell you what a voice recording says if the number you dialed has an answering machine.
