Removing the Contivity 2600 front bezel

Note: Removing the front bezel on the Contivity 2600 system activates the chassis intrusion alarm whether or not the switch is turned on. This intrusion is reported to the system log file.

You must remove the bezel to insert the recovery diskette. Note that you do not need to turn off the switch if you are only removing the front bezel. Figure 24 shows you how to remove the front bezel from the switch.

Caution: When handling the switch outside of the rack-mount shelf, do not use the part labeled with the Nortel Networks logo and the LEDs as a handle.
