IRQ Resources

IRQ-n Assigned to

When the resources are controlled manually, assign each System Interrupt to one of the following, depending on which type of device is using the interrupt.

- Legacy ISA Devices requiring a specific interrupt (such as IRQ4 for serial port1), compliant with the original PC AT bus specification.

-PCI/ISA PnP devices, whether designed for PCI or ISA bus architecture, compliant with the Plug and Play standard.

PCI/VGA Palette Snoop

Some VGA cards, such as graphics accelerators or MPEG video cards, might not show colors properly. Select “Enabled” to correct this problem. If you don’t have such problems, leave this field at “Disabled”.

PCI n Assignment

Each PCI Slot can assign its own IRQ number. When you assign one and find out that the real IRQ is different from your assignment, the IRQ you assign must be taken over by another device like Printer, USB Controller, Midi, etc.
