2. Open the Top Cover.

The OKIJET 2500 requires minimal maintenance. The procedures in this section of the manual describe routine Print Head maintenance and cleaning.

Replacing/swapping the print head (colour or black-only)

Note: If your printer has never had a Print Head installed, refer to the “Installing the Print Head for the first time” section of your Setup Guide for instructions.

Note: The printer must be turned ON to perform the following steps.

1.Press the Cartridge Change/Clean button on the control panel.

3.Once the Carriage moves to the centre and stops, move the green Cartridge Lock Lever to the forward position and remove the Print Head.

Caution: Ensure that the green Carriage Lock Lever is STILL in the forward position before performing the next step.
