Transporting the Printer

If you plan to move the printer from one location to another, or if you want to store it, follow these steps:

1.Press the POWER button to turn off the printer. This moves the print head to the home position.

2.Remove any paper from the sheet feeder.

3.Detach the interface cable and the power cord.

4.Close the front cover (if necessary).

5.Return the paper rest and paper exit support to their original positions.

6.Repack the printer in its original packing materials.

NOTE: Do not remove the ink cartridge from the printer or ship an ink cartridge from which you have removed the protective cap. An opened ink cartridge that is not installed in the printer may leak, and the print head may dry out.
