EtherFast Cable/DSL Router with 8-Port Switch

PPPoE

If your ISP says that you are connecting through a PPPoE or you normally enter a user name and password to access the Internet, perform these steps:

ASelect PPPoE as the Internet Connection Type, as shown in Figure 6-5.

BEnter the User Name and Password.

CClick the Save Settings button to save this change, or click the Cancel Changes button to undo your change. For further help on this tab, click the Help button.

DClick the Status tab, and then click the Connect button. When you are finished, proceed to step 4.

RAS

RAS (shown in Figure 6-6) is a service used in Singapore only. If you are using a RAS connection, check with your ISP for the necessary setup information.

AWhen finished making your changes on this tab, click the Save Settings button to save this change, or click the Cancel Changes button to undo your change. For further help on this tab, click the Help button.

BClick the Status tab, and then click the Connect button. When you are finished, proceed to step 4.
