32 Replacing the I/O Board

Procedure

1Align the connectors on the I/O board with the slots on the computer base and gently press down on the I/O board.

2Replace the screws that secure the I/O board to the computer base.

3Slide the I/O board cable into the connector on the system board and press down on the connector latch to secure the cable.

Postrequisites

1Follow the instructions from step 2 to step 5 in Replacing the Palm Rest.

2Replace the dispaly assembly. See “Replacing the Display Assembly” on page 48.

3Replace the macro keyboard. See “Replacing the Macro Keyboard” on page 38.

4Replace the keyboard. See “Replacing the Keyboard” on page 35.

5Replace the center control cover. See "Replacing the Center Control Cover" on page 29.

6Replace the base cover. See "Replacing the Base Cover" on page 15.

7Replace the battery pack. See "Replacing the Battery Pack" on page 13.

8Replace any cards or blank that you removed from the Media-Card Reader.

9Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 11.
