4.1 Overview

This chapter describes procedures for disassembling the EPSON Perfection 610. Unless otherwise specified, the scanner can be disassembled by reversing the disassembly procedures.

4.1.1 Precautions

WA R Disconnect the power cable before disassembling or

assembling the scanner.

When servicing, note the points below:

C A U T I O N

Consider the size of the scanner and make enough ￿room for servicing.

Since this scanner is a precision equipement, service it on a flat, level, heavy-duty table.

The directions used in this chapter are defined as shown in Figure 4-1.

4.1.2 Tools

Use the tools specified in Table 1-1.

4.1.3 Screws

The screws used in the scanner are as shown in Table 4-2.Make sure you always use the correct type and number of screws for the assembling part. See Table 4-3for the screw appearances.
