Printing a document

This procedure describes the general steps involved in printing from various Windows applications. The exact steps may vary depending on the application you are using. Refer to your application’s documentation for the exact printing procedure.

1.Start the program you are using to create a document or open an existing document you want to print.

2.From the File menu, choose Print or Print Setup. The Print or Print Setup dialog box appears in which you can change the printer settings.

3.If you click Properties, Setup, or Options in the dialog box, you will access the printer driver to make any necessary changes. See ‘Print settings’ on page 2.13. The settings can be changed depending on the printer selected.

4.Choose OK to close the dialog box.

5.Make any necessary changes to the print parameters and choose OK to start the print job.

Note: The way you access the printer driver varies depending on the programs you use.
