Maintaining Your RC9500

Important Notice

Take care not to scratch the Touch Screen

Use your finger to tap the Touch Screen or use plastic-tipped pens intended for use with other touch screen products. Never use an actual pen, pencil or other sharp object on the Touch Screen.

Protect the RC9500 from extreme temperatures

Keep the RC9500 away from heaters and other heat sources. Operating temparature for the RC9500 is in between 41°F to 113°F (5°C to 45°C). (page 66)

RC9500 is NOT waterproof

RC9500 should not be exposed to rain or moisture. Do not store or use the RC9500 in any location that is extremely damp or wet. When you have spilled water on the RC9500, you have to take out the batteries and let the RC9500 dry for 48 hours before you place the batteries back. When you have spilled other liquids like coffee on the RC9500, you can clean it with distilled water.

IMPORTANT: Make sure no water gets into the housing.

The Touch Screen of the RC9500 contains a glass element

Do not drop the RC9500 or subject it to any strong impact.

Cleaning the RC9500

Use a clean, soft and damp cloth to clean the RC9500.

If the Touch Screen is soiled, clean it with soft cloth moistened with diluted window-cleaning solution. Do not use a corrosive detergent or an abrasive sponge. Avoid the use of abundant water.
