6 DVD Setup Menu

Previewing VR format

1During playback, press SCAN.

2Press 5/to highlight either TITLE

DIGEST or TITLE INTERVAL.

3Press ENTER to select the function.

TITLE DIGEST – This function will display thumbnail pictures of titles on the screen. Up to six thumbnail pictures per page will be displayed.

In ORIGINAL LIST mode, the originally recorded titles on the disc will be displayed.

In PLAY LIST mode, every title in the play list will be displayed.

TITLE INTERVAL – This function will divide and display the contents of each title being played back in regular intervals, making it easy to preview the recording. Up to six thumbnail pictures per page will be displayed.

If the title being played back is short, the TITLE DIGEST function will be performed instead.

PASSWORD

The password is used for both Parental Control and Disc Lock. Enter your six-digit password to play a locked disc or when prompted for a password. The default password is “111111”. To change the password:

1Press ENTER to access the change password menu.

2Use the numeric keypad 0-9 on the remote control to enter your existing six-digit password at OLD PASSWORD.

Note

When doing this for the first time or if you forget your existing password, key in “111111”.

3Enter the new six-digit password at NEW PASSWORD.

4Enter the new six-digit password again at

CONFIRM PWD.

5Press ENTER to confirm and exit the menu.

4Use 2/3/5/to select a title, or use the numeric buttons to enter the title number next to SELECT.

Press 4/¢ to access the previous/ next page.

5Press ENTER to confirm the selection.

To quit the preview function

Use 2/3/5/∞ to highlight EXIT and press ENTER to confirm.

To return to the preview menu

Use 2/3/5/∞ to highlight MENU and press ENTER to confirm.

DIVX SUBTITLE

You can set the font type that supports the recorded DivX subtitle.

Default setting: STANDARD

STANDARD

Albanian, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, Gaelic, German, Italian, Kurdish (Latin), Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.

CYRILLIC

Bulgarian, Belorussian, Macedonian, Moldavian, Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian.

Note

Supported subtitle extensions for DivX are “.srt”, “.smi”, “.sub”, “.ssa”, “.ass”.
