1 Press A-B once at the start of the section

you want to repeat, then again at the end.

Playback immediately jumps back to the start point and plays the loop round and round.

On a DVD disc, the start and end points of the loop must be in the same title/chapter.

On a Video CD/CD disc, the start and end points of the loop must be in the same track.

2To resume normal playback, press A-B again.

Note

There may be a slightly difference between point A and the location where playback actually resumes depending on the disc.

After Repeat A-B is exited, any existing Repeat or RANDOM modes will be restored.

Use the random play function to play tracks in a random order.

You can’t use random play with DVD-VR mode.

During playback, press RANDOM (SHUFFLE) repeatedly to select between SHUFFLE DISC, SHUFFLE ALL DISC and SHUFFLE OFF.

The selected mode appears in the display for several seconds.

In SHUFFLE DISC mode, all tracks on the

disc currently playing are played in random

order.

For Hybrid Super Audio CDs, tracks on the Super Audio CD layer are played by default.

In SHUFFLE ALL DISC mode, tracks from all

discs are played in random order:

If the disc currently playing is in Super Audio CD (Super Audio CD layer), MP3, WMA or DivX®, tracks on the disc currently playing are played in random order. When all the tracks on that disc have been played, shuffle playback continues with the next disc.

If the disc currently playing is a CD layer of Super Audio CD, the CD layer of Super Audio CD will be played.

Note

Any existing Repeat or Repeat A-B modes will be cancelled and RANDOM mode will be activated.

Only discs of the same type are shuffled/played.
