Quick Start
READ THIS FIRST | The Showcase DVD is shipped ready to play from the factory. The |
| player automatically switches to NTSC or PAL, depending on the |
| disc format. The default standard is preset, and not selectable by the |
| user. |
| To get started, Krell recommends the following routine: |

Choose the output that matches your television input. The Showcase DVD supports composite,
page 3, for a detailed description of video signals.
The progressive PrPbY outputs will provide the best quality pic- ture, because they build video screen content in one pass. To achieve this picture quality, the progressive PrPb Y outputs need to be connected to a television with a 31.5 kHz horizontal scan rate, capable of accepting a progressive signal of 480p or better. Connect the Showcase DVD directly to the television. Set the TV to the cor- rect video input channel.
HDMI CONNECTOR | An optional HDMI connector is available for the Showcase DVD. The |
(Optional) | connector produces the following digital component signals: 480p, |
| 720p, and 1080i. |
