Using with the Alkaline Battery

Inserting a MiniDisc

Use one commercially available alkaline battery (LR6, AA size).

When using the alkaline battery, be sure to insert the rechargeable battery also.

1 Open the battery case cover.

2 Insert an alkaline battery into the battery case.

3 Attach the battery case to the unit.

Caution:

Do not put a rechargeable battery (nickel-cadmium bat- tery, etc.) in the battery case.

Battery/Inserting a MiniDisc-

Preparation

1 Slide the OPEN lever to release the com- partment door.

2 Insert a MiniDisc as shown.

3 Close the compartment door.

Notes:

zDo not place the MiniDisc under the holder.

zIf any resistance is felt, do not force the MiniDisc into the unit, as it may cause damage to the unit. If resist- ance is felt, remove the MiniDisc and reload it.

zThe lid cannot be opened if "TOC" is displayed; refer to the instruction on page 21.
