Changing the remote control code

Panasonic DVD players and recorders use the same remote control system so they may respond unintentionally to a command from this remote control. Change the code on this unit and its remote control (the two must match) if you place equipment close together.

Use “1”, the factory set code, under normal circumstances.

3 Press [3, 4] to select “Remote Con- trol Code” and press [ENTER].

4 Press [3, 4] to select the code (1, 2, or 3) and press [ENTER].

5 While pressing [ENTER] on the remote control, press and hold the numbered button ([1], [2] or [3]) corre- sponding to the code you selected in step 4.

6 Press [SETUP].

The following display appears when you use a remote control with a different code.

If you are trying to use this unit’s remote control, change its code to match the unit’s (step 5, above).

Audio channel for DV input

Stereo 1 :Records sound (L1, R1) when DV recording is taking place.

Stereo 2 :Records added sound such as narration (L2, R2) subsequent to original recording.

Mix :Records both Stereo 1 and Stereo 2.

L1rL2 are recorded in L and R1rR2 are recorded in R, except for SAP. When recording to a DVD-R or record- ing in LPCM audio, the audio selected in “Select MTS” (page 53) is recorded as Stereo 1.
