The screen now shows the menu again.

Changing the remote control code

Panasonic DVD players and recorders use the same remote control system so they may respond unintentionally to a command from this remote control. Change the code on this unit and its remote control (the two must match) if you place equipment close together.

≥Use “1”, the factory set code, under normal circumstances.

2 Press [3, 4] to select “Set Up” and press [1].

3 Press [3, 4] to select “Remote Con- trol Code” and press [ENTER].

4 Press [3, 4] to select the code (1, 2, or 3) and press [ENTER].

The remote control code on the unit has been set.

5 While pressing [ENTER] on the remote control, press and hold the numbered button ([1], [2] or [3]) corre- sponding to the code you selected in step 4.

The remote control code on the remote control has been set.

6 Press [SETUP].

The following display appears when you use a remote control with a different code.

If you are trying to use this unit’s remote control, change its code to match the unit’s (➜ step 5, above).

Audio channel for DV input

Stereo 1 :Records sound (L1, R1) when DV recording is taking place.

Stereo 2 :Records added sound such as narration (L2, R2) subsequent to original recording.

Mix :Records both Stereo 1 and Stereo 2.

≥L1rL2 are recorded in L and R1rR2 are recorded in R, except for SAP. When recording to a DVD-R or record- ing in LPCM audio, the audio selected in “Select MTS” (➜ page 53) is recorded as Stereo 1.
