Power Save Mode

You can reduce the power consumption while the VCR is turned off.

get to the mode set screen Press m. Move the highlight bar to MODE SET using the Aand Bbuttons and press O(or E).

select power save mode Move the highlight bar to POWER SAVE using the Aand Bbuttons. Press O(or E) to select ON or OFF.

return to normal screen Press m.

NOTES:

¥During Power Save, the display panel will be turned off.

¥The Just Clock function (☞ pg. 55) does not work while the Power Save mode is engaged.

¥While the VCR is in the Power Save mode, the picture may be distorted momentarily when you turn on/off the VCR.

¥Power Save does not work when ...

... the VCR is in the Timer mode.

... the VCRÕs power is turned off after timer-recording (or Instant Timer Recording).

... the Auto Satellite Prog Recording mode is engaged (☞ pg. 39).

... L-2 SELECT is set to DECODER or SAT (☞ pg. 41).

Auto SP aLP Timer

When timer recording in SP mode, if the VCR calculates that there isnÕt enough tape to record the complete programme, it will automatically switch from SP to LP mode.

get to the mode set screen Press m. Move the highlight bar to MODE SET using the Aand Bbuttons and press O(or E).

enable/disable auto spalp timer Select AUTO SPaLP TIMER using the Aand Bbuttons and press O(or E) to toggle between ON and OFF.
