To Select The External Input Mode
To record external audio and video signals;
1Press the remote control's NUMBER key "0".
2Press AV/S SELECT on the front of the recorder to select the appropriate external input mode. ● Pressing AV/S SELECT rotates the input mode as follows:
When using rear panel input connectors:

NOTES:
●To record input signals from the AV2 IN/DECODER connector, set "AV2 SELECT to "AV2" (see below).
●Connections made to the front panel Video and Audio inputs automatically override the rear panel AUDIO/VIDEO input connection. If you wish to edit with another machine connected to the rear input connector, make sure that there is nothing connected to the front connectors.
●Use the L connector for monaural connection.
AV2 SELECT Setting
1Press MENU twice to access the Main Menu screen.
2 Press PUSH JOG %Þto move the highlight bar (pointer) to "MODE SET", then press OK. | MODE SET | |||

●If you're not using a decoder, leave "AV2 SELECT" set to "AV2".
●The default setting is "AV2"; if the recorder's memory backup has expired due to a power cut or because the AC was removed from the recorder, "AV2" will be automatically selected when the power is restored to the recorder. If you are using a decoder, be sure to set "AV2 SELECT" back to "DECODER".
