DSS Receiver Control
Suggested Location
Place the DSS (Digital Satellite System) receiver on top of the VCR. Attach the VCR's Controller to the top of the VCR with the Controller’s transmitter pointed towards the DSS receiver's remote sensor.
The following procedure is required if you receive satellite channels through a DSS (Digital Satellite System) receiver and you want your VCR to change to receiver's channels during timer recording.
The VCR can control the DSS Receiver during timer recording using its Controller.
NOTE:
The Controller can automatically change the DSS Receiver channels when the VCR has been programmed using On- Screen Timer Programming (☞ pg. 46).
Because satellite programming does not use PlusCode; the Controller can not change the DSS Receiver channels during VCR Plus+ Timer Recording.
Attention:
The Controller can also control a cable box. If both a DSS receiver and a cable box are used, position the controller so its signal reaches the remote control sensors of both the DSS receiver and cable box.
