Timer Record Priorities

Your Dual-Deck VCR must prioritize your Timer Record Events if you have accidentally set the Timer to record different events at the same time. If there is a Timer Record Event conflict, the Dual-Deck VCR will:

1.Give priority to the event with the latest starting time. An event in progress will be interrupted by an event with a later starting time.

2.Give priority to the event with the highest event number. If Event 1 and Event 2 start at the same time, the Dual-Deck VCR will record Event 2.

Fail-Safe Timer Recording

The 8mm/VHS Dual-Deck VCR will alert you if there are any Timer Record errors. First, the TIMER indicator on the Front Panel Display will blink. You will also see a message on the Screen Display telling you what the error is.

VHS: TAPE MISSING

This means that you have forgotten to insert a blank tape into the VHS deck.

VHS: TAPE MISSING TAB

This means that the tape in the VHS deck is missing the Record Safety Tab, and you can’t record onto it. Either put a piece of adhesive tape over the hole in the tape, or insert a tape with the safety tab intact.

HOLDING EVENT: #

An event is holding if it would be currently recording, but isn’t, due to one of the above errors. Correcting the error will start the recording.
