Note:
See the Monitor Connections
section of this Guide for a
description of monitor-style
TV's.
Note:
If you rewind and Play back your VHS tape with this connection, you should switch or connect the Enhancer to "Bypass". Otherwise, you will end up processing previously processed video, or "double- enhancing".
Method #2
If you have a monitor-style television set, you can monitor the effect your video enhancer has on your recording by sending the output of your enhancer to both the VHS recording and to your TV monitor. In order to do this, you will need to purchase a “video distribution amplifier”. Because of the nature of video output signals, one video source must go through a small amplifier to go to two places.
Connect the AUDIO/VIDEO OUTPUTs of your 8mm/VHS Dual-Deck VCR to inputs of the video distribution amplifier. Connect one set of amplifier outputs to the AUDIO/VIDEO INPUTS of your VCR. Then, connect the other set of amplifier outputs to your monitor TV. With this connection, you will see the signal from your enhancer on your monitor, and the effect you see will be recorded onto your VHS tape.
