8.2Configuring the wireless network settings on the digital receiver

You should configure the WLAN settings to enable the web service and FTP service. You had better refer to the manual of your router for understanding of technical terminology.

NOTE

Your router should be within five meters of the digital receiver.

IP configuration

Select the Installation > LAN Set- ting > IP Configuration menu.

You may assign a dynamic IP ad- dress to the digital receiver. To do so, set the DHCP option to On. You can view the dynamic IP address assigned to the digi- tal receiver by your router at the WLAN Status menu.

Whenever the digital receiver is restarted, the dynamic IP ad- dress will be changed and you will have to check it at the WLAN Status menu to access the digital receiver. To avoid this cumbersome thing, you had better assign a static IP address rather than dynamic one.

Set the DHCP option to Off, then the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway options become enabled. You have to set these options to match the configuration of your router.

Set the User ID and Password options as you desire. When you access the FTP server, you will be asked for the account that is made with these options
