Basic Playback

Various Playback

To play in fast reverse ( ) or fast forward ( )

Press SEARCH during playback.

Each press of the same button changes the playback speed.

To resume normal playback, press PLAY .

Note

The DVD Player mutes sounds and omits subtitles during fast reverse and fast forward.

To skip chapters or tracks

Press SKIP during playback.

The chapter (track or file) in the direction of the button pressed is skipped, and the selected chapter (track or file)

will be played from the beginning. When SKIP is pressed once during playback, the chapter (track or file) being played will be played from the beginning.

To pause playback (still mode)

Press PAUSE/STEP during playback.

To start playback, press PLAY .

Playing frame by frame

Press PAUSE/STEP repeatedly during playback.

Each time you press the button the picture advances one frame.

To resume normal playback, press PLAY .

Note

Video CDs cannot be played frame by frame reverse.

TITLE/PBC

To play in slow-motion

Press SLOW during playback.

Each press of the same button changes the playback speed.

To resume normal playback, press PLAY .

Note

Video CDs cannot be played in slow-motion reverse.

PBC function for Video CDs

When playing a Video CD equipped with PBC function, DVD Player will automatically enter the PBC on mode.

Press the TITLE/PBC button to turn PBC off. Press again to turn on.

Notes

The sound is muted during slow-motion, still mode, and frame by frame playback.

The playback speed may differ depending on the disc.

Do not move the DVD Player during playback. Doing so may damage the disc.

Use OPEN/CLOSE on the DVD Player to open and close the disc tray. Do not touch the disc tray while it is moving. Doing so may cause the DVD Player to malfunction.

Do not press down on the disc tray or put any objects other than playable discs on the disc tray. Doing so may cause the DVD Player to malfunction.
