Rating limit

Select a rating limit

This feature helps you control the type of discs or programme your family can watch. In case some discs, or scenes exceed the rating limit you have set, they will not be played.

When using arrows for selection press ok button to confirm.

It works only with DVDs that have been assigned a rating limit and is therefore disc-dependent.

1 If a disc is playing press STOP button.

2 Call the set-up menu using menu button.

3 Select "Rating Limit"; press number button 2.

4 Set the rating system to the limit you want, to permit or prohibit playback of unsuitable scenes or (adult) programmes, using the number buttons.

The high number allows all titles, whereas the "0" will forbid playing of all titles.

5 If you have selected limit 7 or lower choose a personal 4-digit code number and type it in using the number buttons, to lock the limit and keep it from being changed (optional).

The rating is locked. Any disc whose rating is higher than your setting cannot be played unless the correct code number is entered.

Not all DVD discs include rating information that makes the rating system work, though their disc jacket may say that they are "for adults only". Consequently, discs without rating information will be played, even if the player is locked by a code.

No message will appear when an incorrect code number is entered.

Do not forget your secret password!
