Setting the V-Chip

NOTES:

•To avoid forgetting the password, write it down and keep it in a safe place.

•If you forget the password...

1.Disconnect the AC cord plug from the AC outlet and leave the unit unplugged for more than two minutes.

2.Insert the AC cord plug again, and turn the volume level to a minumum.

3.Press the VOL- button on the unit and the 0 button on the remote control for more than 2 seconds simultaneously.

An age limitation can be set to forbid children to see and hear violent scenes or pictures for adults, etc. The unit corresponds to "TV RATING" and "MOVIE RATING". To use the V-Chip function, you must register a password.

TO REGISTER PASSWORD

1 Press TV/VCR. Press TV/MENU, the TV/VCR menu

screen will appear.
2 Press	or	to select “ TV		M E N U
SETUP”, then press ENTER.				TIMER REC SET
				TV SETUP
				CH SETUP
				AUTO REPEAT	ON OFF
				SYSTEM SETUP
			〈▲/▼/ENTER/MENU〉
3 Press	or	to select “V-		TV SETUP
				V-CHIP SET
CHIP SET”, then press ENTER.				ON/OFF TIMER
				PICTURE
				AUDIO
				SURROUND	ON	OFF
				STABLE SOUND￿ ON		OFF
				SAP￿	ON	OFF
			〈▲/▼/ENTER/MENU〉

press CANCEL.	￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿￿
4 Enter a password (4 digits) using	￿￿
the number buttons (0-9), then	￿￿
press ENTER.
If you enter an incorrect number,
" " appears instead of the number.
5 Enter the same password again	V-CHIP SET
then press ENTER.	CONFIRM
The password is now registered
	PASSWORD:

and V-Chip setting menu appears.
