How to Set Ratings
Some DVD Movie discs have encoded rating levels that allow the setting of the MVP851 to prevent children from viewing inappropriate movies in your absence. A password protected lock function, set by you, sets the rating limit for disc playback. In the example below the Rating Limit will be set to Level 3 with a password of 1234.
Note: A Rating Level of 8 allows viewing of all DVD Movies and “0 Lock All” prevents any disc from being viewed. It is advisable to write down the password for future reference, as once a password has been entered it will stay in effect until removed or changed.
